Suikerbos PV 4 Photovoltaic Solar Energy Facility and Associated Infrastructure near Vereeniging, Gauteng Province
Suikerbos PV 4 (Pty) Ltd is proposing the development of an up to 250 MW Photovoltaic Solar Energy Facility (SEF), including associated infrastructure (on-site substation, Battery Energy Storage Solution (BESS), internal and perimeter access roads, operational and management buildings, temporary and permanent laydown areas, etc.) on the Remainder of Portion 1, Remainder of Portion 2 and Portion 5 (Kliplaagte) (Portion of Portion 1) of the Farm Badfontein No. 438 and Portion 11 of the Farm Boschkop No. 426, Registration Division IR, situated within the Midvaal Local Municipality, and the Sedibeng District Municipality. The town of Vereeniging is located approximately 8 km west of the proposed development.
The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) footprint will be approximately 525 hectares in extent.
