The Proposed Soyuz 7 Solar PV Project And Associated Infrastructure, Near Britstown, Northern Cape Province.
The development of a photovoltaic (PV) solar energy facility with a generation capacity of up to 250 MW. Specific infrastructure will form part of the facility namely PV panels, 33/132 kV substation infrastructure, including an on-site facility substation and collector/switching station, a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), access roads (internal and external), a construction camp, laydown areas, paved areas and Operation and Maintenance Buildings. An area of 1459 ha is under assessment for the development footprint
The project is located~11 km south east of Britstown in the Emthanjeni Local Municipality and the Pxiley Ka Seme District Municipality on the affected property known as Portion 1 of the Farm Pettsspot
