The Applicant, Genesis Eco-Energy Developments (Pty) Ltd, is proposing the development of the installation and establishment of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and associated infrastructure (on-site substation, power line, access roads, operation and maintenance buildings, fencing and other auxiliary infrastructure) to accommodate the storage of energy.
The developments are proposed on Portion 0 of Farm Thelma No. 104 and Portion 2 of Farm Eva No. 127, Registration Division ODENDAALSRUS, situated within the Matjhabeng Local Municipality within the Lejweleputswa District Municipality. The proposed developments are located approximately 1 km outside of the town of Odendaalsrus along the urban edge.
