Tango Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and Associated Infrastructure near Klerksdorp, North West Province.

Tango Energy Facility (RF) Pty Ltd proposes the development of a BESS and required associated infrastructure such as substations and/or power lines, access roads, operation and maintenance buildings and fencing, to name a few. The capacity of the BESS will be up to 77 MW and is proposed to be bid as part of the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) bid window 2 for BESS development. The development is proposed on Portion 80 of the farm Hartebeestfontein No. 422, situated within the City of Matlosana, formerly the City Council of Klerksdorp Local Municipality, Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality. The town of Klerksdorp is located approximately 12 km northwest of the proposed development.
