Izimvu Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and Associated Infrastructure near Rustenburg, North West Province.

Izimvu Energy Facility (RF) Pty Ltd proposes the development of a BESS and required associated infrastructure such as substations and/or power lines, access roads, operation and maintenance buildings and fencing, to name a few. The capacity of the BESS will be up to 77 MW and is proposed to be bid as part of the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) bid window 2 for BESS development. The development is proposed on Erf 2290, Rustenburg Extension 9 Township, situated within the Rustenburg Local Municipality, Bonjanala Platinum District Municipality.
